This policy explains what information SSC Rank collects and how it is used.
Information we collect
- Account information: your name and email address when you create an account. Passwords are stored only as a salted hash; we cannot read them.
- Practice data: the tests you take, your answers, scores, time spent, bookmarks and downloads. This powers your results and dashboard.
- Anonymous practice: if you take a test without an account, a random identifier is stored in a cookie on your device so you can see your result. It is linked to an account only if you create one on the same device.
- Usage information: pages viewed, searches made on the site and basic device information, used in aggregate to improve the product. We do not store raw IP addresses in our analytics.
Cookies
We use a small number of first-party cookies: a session cookie to keep you logged in and a guest cookie for anonymous practice. If analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Microsoft Clarity are enabled, they may set their own cookies.
How we use information
To provide the service, show your results and progress, recommend what to practise next, keep the site secure, and understand which content is useful. We do not sell personal information.
Sharing
We share information only with service providers that host or operate the platform on our behalf (for example hosting, database and storage providers), and where required by law.
Retention
Account and practice data are kept while your account is active. Analytics events are deleted after about 13 months.
Your choices
You can update your profile in Settings. To delete your account and associated data, or to request a copy of it, email support@sscrank.com.
Children
SSC Rank is intended for candidates aged 18 and above.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date shown above.
