SSC CGL Mensuration question with solution
MensurationModerateSSC CGL 2024
The circumference of a circle is 176 cm. What is its area? (Take π = 22/7)
- (A)4928 cm²
- (B)2464 cm²
- (C)1232 cm²
- (D)784 cm²
Correct answer: (B) 2464 cm²
Circumference = 2πr = 176, so r = 176 × 7 ÷ (2 × 22) = 28 cm. Area = πr² = 22/7 × 28 × 28 = 2464 cm².
Shortcut: With π = 22/7, a circumference of 44k gives radius 7k and area 154k².
