SSC CGL Mensuration question with solution
MensurationModerateSSC CGL 2023
The circumference of a circle is 132 cm. What is its area? (Take π = 22/7)
- (A)441 cm²
- (B)2772 cm²
- (C)1452 cm²
- (D)1386 cm²
Correct answer: (D) 1386 cm²
Circumference = 2πr = 132, so r = 132 × 7 ÷ (2 × 22) = 21 cm. Area = πr² = 22/7 × 21 × 21 = 1386 cm².
Shortcut: With π = 22/7, a circumference of 44k gives radius 7k and area 154k².
