The HCF and LCM of two numbers are 5 and 30 respectively. If one of the numbers is 10, what is the other number?

Correct answer: (A) 15
For any two numbers, product of the numbers = HCF × LCM. So the other number = (5 × 30) ÷ 10 = 150 ÷ 10 = 15.
Shortcut: Other number = HCF × LCM ÷ given number.
