SSC CGL Profit and Loss question with solution
Profit and LossEasySSC CGL 2024
The marked price of a watch is ₹3,700. If a discount of 20% is allowed, what is its selling price?
- (A)₹4,440
- (B)₹3,145
- (C)₹2,960
- (D)₹2,775
Correct answer: (C) ₹2,960
Discount = 20% of 3700 = 740. Selling price = marked price − discount = 3700 − 740 = 2960. So the watch is sold for ₹2,960.
Shortcut: SP = MP × (100 − d)/100 = 3700 × 80/100.
