A shopkeeper buys an article for ₹300 and sells it for ₹390. What is the profit percentage?
- (A)30%
- (B)23%
- (C)35%
- (D)40%
Correct answer: (A) 30%
Profit = selling price − cost price = 390 − 300 = 90. Profit percentage is always calculated on the cost price: 90 ÷ 300 × 100 = 30%.
