SSC CHSL Profit and Loss question with solution
Profit and LossEasySSC CHSL 2024
The marked price of a watch is ₹1,400. If a discount of 25% is allowed, what is its selling price?
- (A)₹1,050
- (B)₹1,375
- (C)₹1,750
- (D)₹1,120
Correct answer: (A) ₹1,050
Discount = 25% of 1400 = 350. Selling price = marked price − discount = 1400 − 350 = 1050. So the watch is sold for ₹1,050.
Shortcut: SP = MP × (100 − d)/100 = 1400 × 75/100.
