SSC CHSL Profit and Loss question with solution
Profit and LossEasySSC CHSL 2024
The marked price of a watch is ₹2,300. If a discount of 25% is allowed, what is its selling price?
- (A)₹2,275
- (B)₹1,725
- (C)₹1,610
- (D)₹2,875
Correct answer: (B) ₹1,725
Discount = 25% of 2300 = 575. Selling price = marked price − discount = 2300 − 575 = 1725. So the watch is sold for ₹1,725.
Shortcut: SP = MP × (100 − d)/100 = 2300 × 75/100.
