SSC CHSL Profit and Loss question with solution
Profit and LossEasySSC CHSL 2024
The marked price of a watch is ₹1,200. If a discount of 20% is allowed, what is its selling price?
- (A)₹1,020
- (B)₹1,440
- (C)₹1,180
- (D)₹960
Correct answer: (D) ₹960
Discount = 20% of 1200 = 240. Selling price = marked price − discount = 1200 − 240 = 960. So the watch is sold for ₹960.
Shortcut: SP = MP × (100 − d)/100 = 1200 × 80/100.
