SSC CHSL Profit and Loss question with solution
Profit and LossEasySSC CHSL 2024
The marked price of a watch is ₹1,900. If a discount of 25% is allowed, what is its selling price?
- (A)₹1,330
- (B)₹1,425
- (C)₹1,520
- (D)₹2,375
Correct answer: (B) ₹1,425
Discount = 25% of 1900 = 475. Selling price = marked price − discount = 1900 − 475 = 1425. So the watch is sold for ₹1,425.
Shortcut: SP = MP × (100 − d)/100 = 1900 × 75/100.
