A shopkeeper buys an article for ₹1,900 and sells it for ₹2,185. What is the profit percentage?
- (A)15%
- (B)25%
- (C)20%
- (D)13%
Correct answer: (A) 15%
Profit = selling price − cost price = 2185 − 1900 = 285. Profit percentage is always calculated on the cost price: 285 ÷ 1900 × 100 = 15%.
