Vikram can complete a piece of work in 20 days and Divya can complete the same work in 30 days. In how many days will they finish it working together?

Correct answer: (B) 12 days
Vikram's one-day work = 1/20 and Divya's one-day work = 1/30. Together they do 1/20 + 1/30 = 50/600 = 1/12 of the work per day, so the work is finished in 12 days.
Shortcut: Days together = (a × b)/(a + b) = 600/50 = 12.
